I just wanted everyone to know that Brenton is engaged. He asked Sara to marry him on February 13th. She is from Ogden, Utah. The sealing will be in the Bountiful Temple on June 6th. We are so very happy for them and are excited for her to be added to the family.

Christmas Day

Christmas day was fun. Kaden slept in which was good because Aaron was eager to get Kaden's reaction to his bike on the video camera. We had to go wait in the great room before Kaden came in. Kaden's reaction was not what we expected. He completely ignored the bike and didn't even want to get near it even when Aaron told him to go see it. Aaron had to force him to sit on it. It was so funny. He did finally come around though and has enjoyed it ever since. We went to Aaron's parents for the remainder of the day. We were truly blessed this holiday, so much more than even imaginable.

Christmas Eve

Aaron spent the first of many Christmases to come staying up late on Christmas Eve putting a bike together for Kaden. It was his gift to Kaden. He was so excited for Kaden to see it.

Shumway Christmas

We spent the Sunday before Christmas at my parents and Grandma Sharrie. We had a delicious lunch and then opened presents. Kaden got a train from papa and nana. It is going to make its home there b/c we don't have room for it. We received so much and enjoyed the family time.

Dunes Weekend 12/14

Our friends, the Coopers, invited us to go to the dunes with them on a weekend. We had a blast!! Aaron and Kaden both loved to be around highly powered, motorized, off-road vehicles. Kaden appropriately uses the term "sick" now anytime he sees something that is all tricked up and sounds tough. We had fun spending some time away from home in a place we had never been.
