My How the Years Fly By!!

Halloween 2005: Kaden is 5 days old here. He is so so little. And that pumpkin was so gigantic.
Halloween 2006: He loved wearing that frog costume. He kept it on all night! Halloween 2007: I had to do a makeshift costume (because I am a slacker mom that didn't take time to get him a new one of his own), but that's the beauty of him being 2...he doesn't care yet. And, he still had fun.

Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins with our friends the Klippels. We had a lot of fun with it. Aaron always free hands his. Mine is the little bitty one. Aaron likes to get a picture of the finished product look with all the lights off. We love this time of year.

Trunk or Treat

These pictures are from our ward's trunk or treat. Kaden was a bumble bee and we were pirates. All the kids kept calling Aaron "Captain Jack." He loved it. There were games and horseback rides and then the trunk or treating. Kaden liked to see his friends all dressed up too.

Somebody had a birthday

Kaden turned two on Oct. 25. We took him to Peter Piper Pizza (Jen...do you remember the days we used to go hang out there? :) ) He absolutely loved it. We had never taken him there before. He didn't know what to do first. He just kept running around and around and sitting in every seat he could at all the games. He isn't my little boy anymore, he is getting to be so big.

The race is on!

Aaron had a dirt bike race on October 20, 2007 in Globe. He got second in his class and fourth overall. He did so good!! He was really tired afterward for pushing himself so hard. We are so proud of him!!

Fall Festival

Kaden's day care put on a fall festival for all of the kids. He was able to pet and feed the animals, decorate pumpkins, go on a hay ride, and eat caramel apples. It was a fun afternoon!

Sweet Dreams

I was messing around on the computer one morning before church and I came out of the office to my two boys fast asleep...Like father, like son.

LET'S GO CARDINALS!!

Aaron is a huge Cardinals fan. We are trying to teach Kaden how to say "Let's Go Cardinals." These pictures are a perfect representation of the saying "like father, like son." Kaden just loves to spend time with dad.

Boys Will Be Boys

Kaden and Carter had a lot of fun eating their spaghettios. They thought they were so funny. The bath water was slightly orange and sprinkled with pasta when all was said and done.

Yummy Doughnut!

I just thought this picture was too cute to not share. I brought home some doughnut holes from school. He ate one and then pushed it out with a smile. So silly, so cute!

Labor Day Weekend

Every year my family has a reunion over Labor Day in Strawberry. Here are some highlights:
1. Kaden always finds the off road vehicles first and wants to be with them constantly
2. He has a very dirty face in this picture from throwing dirt with his cousins. He loves being outside!
3. Hanging out with the girls
4. Aaron won the horseshoe tournament with my uncle Dana. This is the second time in 3 years he has won
5. Mom and Kaden at the campfire
We always have lots of fun and look forward to it every year.

Tri in the Pines

We are so proud of you dad!!

Tri in the Pines

Aaron completed his first triathlon this weekend. The triathlon was called Tri in the Pines in Show Low. He and some friends have been training this summer so they could compete.

Waiting to swim

Drying off before the bike ride

Crossing the finishing line

A tired athlete!!
We are so proud of him. He finished in about one hour and 37 minutes. The four friends all finished within 10 minutes of each other - which was alot of fun. Aaron is already talking about when he'll do the next one!

I started back to school this week. These pics were taken before we left on that first day. Kaden was accepted at the day care across the street from school. He had his first day on Tuesday. I tell him he is "going to school like mommy." He seems to be adjusting well. The teachers are so nice and friendly. I know he is going to learn a lot. I have to think positive or I cry every time I drop him off. Aaron is better at being tough about it. I just wish I was home...only 9 more months for this degree. Those of you who stay home are so lucky! I have chosen this path though and I love it, but it is so hard to leave my baby!!

This kid is NOT spoiled :)

Grandpa and Grandma Kurzawski bought this little tractor for Kaden. He had to get a tractor to be more like grandpa who has a riding lawn mower. He loves to drive it around their backyard. He looks like such a big boy!

Watermelon: YUM YUM

Kaden likes to eat watermelon, but what he loves even more is to squish watermelon. He will squeeze the piece of watermelon so it mushes through his fingers (and the juice is running all down his arm) and then he will eat it. You can see all the bits and pieces on the table waiting to be eaten.

Together at last

The family is reunited once again. We were so happy to see Kaden after being at Lake Powell for a week. This is his new "picture smile." He has fallen in love with the camera once again. Everyone laughed the first time he made this face. He knows it is funny now and we think it is pretty dang cute.

Tractors

I tell you, the kid LOVES tractors!! All he wanted to do was go sit on the tractor all day long.

Sucker!

Kaden loves suckers. He stole this one away from one of the cousins at the family reunion. He liked this color better than the first one he was given because daddy had it too.

Lake Powell 2007

We just got back from a week at Lake Powell. Aaron and I agree that is a great way to spend a vacation! We had a lot of trouble with the ski boat. It was out of commission a total of 3 days, that put a little damper on things. Aaron was still able to do some wakeboarding and we both got to go on the tube. Aaron did some cliff jumping and we both did a lot of swimming (sometimes it was to pull the ski boat). We played games and fished. We had a really fun and relaxing trip. The week went great but we were excited to get home and see Kaden. We hope we have the opportunity to go on that type of vacation again.
