The Countdown

Okay, so I am not sure if anyone else is paying attention to the little baby ticker over there, but it is going a little too fast for me. It is amazing the amount of emotions that can run over you in the same moment. I am so anxious and scared and excited and freaked out all at the same time. It is just around the corner!!! Heaven help me with two little boys! :)

Helping papa

I went to visit my parents for a day this week when Aaron was out of town. My dad was doing some yard work and Kaden decided to help. He was walking right along side my dad and was mimicking practically every move he made. My dad loved it and it kept Kaden preoccupied for quite some time. We are so grateful to have family close.

Celebrating Fall

We wanted to find a fun place to take Kaden to celebrate fall. I went online to look for a place that was close and not too expensive. I found this place called Tomalchoff Farms. We had never heard of it, but it sounded like fun. It turned out to be just the perfect place for a busy boy like Kaden. It had a train ride, a petting zoo, a bounce house, a big box full of corn to play in, 3 different mazes, bikes for the kids to ride around, a pumpkin patch, and many other things. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely visit them again.

Cara and the Temple

We were able to enjoy a lovely evening with Cara and the family at the temple as she went through for the first time. The session was packed. There were 4 other girls going through for the first time. We had Mexican food afterward. Yummy!! We are so proud of her and the time is getting so close to when she reports. We are going to miss her.

Last, but not least

We stopped at a little diner on the way home from the park. The food was very good. It was right next to a place that raised elk. Aaron was in heaven watching these huge animals.

I ordered the Navajo Taco. It was huge. Needless to say, I ate probably 90% of it. It was really good and I was really hungry from hiking all day.

Zion National Park

Okay so I decided to do these pics as a separate post. This is a beautiful park to visit, even if you don't want to hike, the scenery is gorgeous. We were lucky enough to go on a day when it was free to the public. Aaron posing in a little ravine on one of the hikes.

This picture (directly below) we call our "National Geographic Picture." We call it this because as we were hiking up the little ravine (in the above pic) there was this man coming down and he offered to take a picture of us because "the light on this rock is just perfect." He had a pretty serious camera hanging around his neck and I made some comment that with a camera like that he looked pretty professional and we would love to have him take our picture. After my comment he says "yes, National Geographic trained." We didn't go any further into it, but we assumed maybe he had shot something for the magazine. We would like to think so at least. :)

This place was on another little hike. It was called Weeping Rock. There is water trickling down in the background of the picture. The water comes directly out of the rock.

You just really can't capture the beauty of God's creations on camera. You can come really close (well, I can't, but some can) but it just isn't the same as actually being there in that moment. These canyons are amazing and the majesty of it all is breathtaking. I am grateful that we can go and enjoy the beauty of these creations.

St George

As mentioned in the previous post, we spent a week together for our anniversary. At the end of the week (on our actual anniversary) we went down to St. George for a couple of days. We had a really nice hotel room. We were able to go to the temple, see Les Mis at Tuacahn Amphitheatre, and hike around in Zion National Park. Here are the pics...

Aaron relaxing on the couch in our hotel. I swear it was the nicest room we have ever had. It had a king size bed, a little dining table, a couch and a couple of comfy chairs, two flat screen tv's, a huge bathroom with a jetted tub. Talk about a nice place to spend an anniversary weekend :).
The temple in St. George is so beautiful. The session was very nice. It was fun to go to a different temple. I would like to do that more often, see how many different ones across the globe we can attend.
On Saturday night we attended Les Miserables at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre. This was absolutely amazing. The amphitheatre was nestled back in this canyon. It was absolutely gorgeous. This is a must for anyone who is staying close to St. George. I highly recommend going to this place. It was very cool and very worth the money. Our seats were actually on the last row in the middle, but I don't think there was a bad seat in the whole place.

Anniversary week

Aaron and I celebrated our fifth anniversary on September 26th. I was able to go up with him on his business trip to Salt Lake for a week. We stayed at my aunt and uncle's house in Sandy most of the week. On the way home we stayed in St. George for a few days. It was really nice to have some one on one time, especially before this next baby comes.

The first night we went to Famous Dave's BBQ. We love that place.One night we were able to go out to eat with our good friends, Adam and Ashley Poston.The pregnant girls...Ashley is due 2 days after me with their first baby. They are going to have a little girl.

Then we were able to spend some time with Aaron's cousin, Sean and his wife, Carly. It was a couple days away from Carly's birthday. We celebrated with her family. Her parents made a delicious dinner and we had some birthday cake.

We also were able to see our good friends the Bundys. I was bad and forgot to take pictures of our night with them. Lindsey and Ryan live in Ogden. They always make us dinner and it is always scrumptious. This time was no exception to that. They have a little girl Emma who is just 4 months younger than Kaden and she is just a doll. We loved getting to see them again.

While Aaron was working during the day, I took advantage of some scrapbook time. As you can see, I sprawled out on my aunt's dining room table and was able to tackle some layouts.

One day I went to visit my friend Shayla. She was one of my roommates from my good ol' BYU days. She is recently married and lives in American Fork. It was great to catch up with her.

I also got to go see Carly and take her out to lunch. She is having a blast at BYU. Hanging out with her and being on campus made me reminisce on my days up there. It was so much fun!!

New Bike

Yes, Aaron purchased a new dirt bike. He was feeling really lonely for a few months after he sold his last one. Can't let him go too long without one of his favorite toys.
