Mischief

This is what Brendon does when he gets up really early and I don't want to get out of bed so he runs rampant through the house getting into things. He loves getting into the cereal, especially Lucky Charms. He picks out all the marshmallows. Smart little bugger.

Freezing!

Kaden decided it was warm enough outside to start the swimming season. Let me tell you it definitely was not warm enough, but I allowed the experience. He jumped right in and almost drown when his little body became rigid with the cold. It probably took his breath away. With some encouragement he was able to come to his senses and get to the edge. I was dying.with.laughter. I.mean.dying. (So I am a heartless mother. He survived, didn't he?) He did actually "swim" (meaning hop in and out) for a good 6.5 minutes before he decided he was done with it. I, of course, took pictures to document the historic day.

(Doesn't he look freezing!?)

Kaden's soccer

Kaden started his first of many soccer seasons. It is Soccer Tots with the City of Peoria. It teaches just the basics. He had a lot of fun and did a great job listening and staying on task. He looked so big out there running around. We are so proud of him.

My Mom

This is my mom. She just had a birthday. I hope you have someone in your life that is like my mom is to me. Maybe it is your mom, or dad, or best friend. I could call her everyday (and I usually do) and she always takes time to listen to what is going on even though I know she is super busy. We laugh and we cry. She is supermom. When her plate is overflowing full she can still add me to her day. My dad once wrote me a letter and talked about how amazing my mother is. He said if I could be half the women she is I would be one amazing woman. I hope that someday I will be half the woman she is. She is my biggest fan, my greatest supporter. I know that she loves me inspite of me. She is a great example of living a life of service and charity. She loves the Lord and it shows in everything that she says and does. She has raised an amazing family (with my dad's help of course) and continues to advise us in our lives. I do pray that I will be like her someday. Happy Birtday Mom. I love you tons!

POTD Wednesday

Remember I am doing Becky Higgins Picture of the Day (POTD) with Project Life? Here is my shot for yesterday. We went to the park and Kaden wanted to push Brendon on the swings. They were laughing so hard. Sweet, sweet boys.
