Camping with Dad

The boys went on the Father's and Son's Campout. They love being with dad. When I was saying goodbye to the boys Brendon literally pushed me away as if to say "hello mom!! I am going with the boys, I will be fine." Aaron didn't even set up a tent, they just slept in the back of the truck. Aaron built a little fire over by the truck so the boys could play with the fire safely...Thankfully, they all returned home unharmed.

An opnion

My friend Toni posted her opinion today on her blog about the illegal immigration issue that is going on right now in AZ. I really liked her point of view and I completely agree with it so I thought I would share. Go here to read all about it.

An Award

I won an award for Nurse's Week. There were five people chosen for awards out of all the RNs in the hospital. My award was for "Contribution to Patients." I was shocked to be even nominated for a category. There was an awards ceremony. My mom had my whole family attend. I have such wonderful support in my life. I would be nowhere without my family and friends that back me up with what I do. I love you guys!

A memorable trip

We had the opportunity to attend the open house for the Gila Valley temple. It was so beautiful. I am so grateful that we have temples here on this earth. I am grateful that during the open house anyone has the opportunity to see its beauty and feel the Spirit and peace inside. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us here on this earth. I love that temples help us to be an eternal family. I cannot imagine living in a world without my boys. It was a very special day for our family. I hope Kaden feels of our love for the temple and hope that he is gaining a testimony of its importance as well.

Mischief

This is what Brendon does when he gets up really early and I don't want to get out of bed so he runs rampant through the house getting into things. He loves getting into the cereal, especially Lucky Charms. He picks out all the marshmallows. Smart little bugger.

Freezing!

Kaden decided it was warm enough outside to start the swimming season. Let me tell you it definitely was not warm enough, but I allowed the experience. He jumped right in and almost drown when his little body became rigid with the cold. It probably took his breath away. With some encouragement he was able to come to his senses and get to the edge. I was dying.with.laughter. I.mean.dying. (So I am a heartless mother. He survived, didn't he?) He did actually "swim" (meaning hop in and out) for a good 6.5 minutes before he decided he was done with it. I, of course, took pictures to document the historic day.

(Doesn't he look freezing!?)
