My mom

Jessica gave me the idea to honor my mother (and taught me how to do links, thanks Jess!!) My mom's birthday was last week and I really should have posted this then, but you all know how good I am at keeping up with this thing...:) My mother is the one that I always call first for advice. I am so grateful to her for all that she does for me. She is constantly sacrificing herself for everyone else. I hope to be more like her someday.

This month

Here is a catch up of the last month. The first picture is Gold Rush Days in Wickenburg. Kaden loved going on the rides! Kaden decorating sugar cookies for Valentine's Day for all his favorite people.
Kaden has done a couple of gymnastics classes and loved it!

I am loving my new chocolate brown sheet set

I told you my child is destined to be in health care. He found this first aid kit and had to come work on me. He always remembers to wear gloves! :)

Kaden

Today I was in the office and Kaden came in and was playing with my scrapbook tools kit. He starts using the tools like he was a doctor giving me an examination. He comes over and asks to look in my mouth and in my ears and at my belly button. When he was done he said "Great job mom!" Boys are so silly and fun.

Any Resemblence?

This is Brendon (1st pic) at 3 months old and Kaden (2nd pic) at about 5 months old. They definitely look like brothers.

The Medicine Cabinet

This is our "medicine cabinet." It is the dinkiest space above our microwave. I actually did this space first in my organization because it is the one that affects Aaron the most. He HATES to get something out because, as you can see, it. is. a. disaster. You try to get one thing out and five more things fall out on top of you so...here is the BEFORE: And here is the AFTER:
I purchased a DYMO label maker ages ago and this year I think he is going to be my best friend. I highly recommend a label maker.

The Closet Renovation

Here are my attempts at organizing my closet (please don't judge me on my 'before' pictures...just know I am trying to be better).

The BEFORE:
(shoes in piles on the floor, clothes piled on top of the shelf)
The AFTER pics:
Three sets of little shelf units and some bins make a world of difference. One lady on the blog said she was all about hiding her junk in cute containers. I think that is the truth. It is really not that there is less, but that I am storing it in a better way. Although, we now have a huge lawn size black garbage bag full of clothes to give to DI. It feels good to organize and declutter. To finish the closet I would like to get a hamper, but I am waiting for a sale or a coupon, those suckers are expensive.

Project Organize

I have been following this blog for awhile. I decided to join her in her organization party. I have been completely inspired by this. BUT I haven't really been following her rules... like sticking to one room at a time. I have just been doing the bigger projects that I have been thinking about in the back of my mind for for-ev-er. So here are some befores and afters of the projects I have been working on. Now the lady from the blog is amazing and does things real cheap. I, on the other hand get too anxious, am too impatient, and I hate shopping with two kids. Hence, I am not good at looking for great deals and returning repeatedly to find them. This will change, however, when I am only working a couple days a month and our budget is a. lot. more. tight. So...enjoy. Kaden's room pics BEFORE

and AFTER:

I am really going to try and use my closet space better. I love having this shelf unit in his closet. Before the toys were in pile on the floor. He plays with them a lot more now that they are organized.
